BSE SENSEX NSE NIFTY NEWS ON TODAY 

Today's share market opening news:-

  • The S&P BSE Sensex was under pressure in trade on Monday tracking muted global cues and weak IIP data released on Friday.
  • The index plunged as much as 204 points in trade, led by losses in ITCBSE -1.37 %, HDFC Bank, RIL, L&T, Wipro and Mahindra & Mahindra.
  • Tracking the momentum, the 50-share Nifty index also came under pressure and slipped below its crucial psychological level of 7800 in trade today, weighed down by losses in capital goods, metal.
