Tracking
the momentum, the 50-share Nifty index also managed to hit its fresh
lifetime high of 6861.60, supported by gains in capital goods, autos
and oil & gas stocks.
In
the first half of the day's trading session Bank Nifty was under
pressure as major banking stocks were in negative territory. However,
Nifty was supported by the oil & gas sector as majority of the
stocks from the sector had a good rally in this period.......
